Our vision
ECA Education
Founded in 2007, ECA Education provides results-driven, personalised private tutorial classes for students ranging from early primary to senior secondary levels. Our programmes cover both the local HKDSE and international curricula including I/GCSE, GCE (A-Level), SAT, SAT2 and IB. While Mathematics is our specialty, we also offer tuition for English, Chinese and Science subjects – all the prerequisite subjects that help students secure a bright academic future.
At ECA, we take pride in our highly-qualified and experienced teachers, who show genuine concern for the continual progress of students. For this reason, small-class teaching of four to five students is used, so our tutors can devote individualised attention and guidance to each student and their learning needs.
Teaching Methods
Our proven teaching methods, which produce dramatic academic improvement, have attracted many students from high-ranking schools like DGS, DBS, La Salle College, Maryknoll Convent School, St. Paul’s Convent School, Queen’s College, Chinese International School, Shatin College and Yew Chung International School. In 2012, 100% of our students got a pass in their tuition subjects, with 45.4% getting level 5 and above. Besides, twice as many students received a 5** in their HKDSE exams than an ‘A’ in HKCEE.
We believe that learning should not be restricted to the classroom if we want to groom children into the leaders of the future. So under the name ‘ECA for Future’, we organise a variety of exposure activities to motivate children to explore new technologies and knowledge.
Locations and Service Offerings
ECA Education has expanded steadily in both its locations and service offerings over the past ten years to meet the changing needs of students and their parents. Today, we have three tuition centres in Sha Tin, Yaumatei and Shek Mun, with the most recent one established in Royal Ascot Fo Tan in 2018.
Our Founder’s Vision
Mr. Jolly Yung, the founder of our centre, is the creator of the ‘hand-in-hand methodology’ for teaching Mathematics to primary and secondary students. This methodology, which requires students to adapt quickly to a changing syllabus, is a tried and tested method for boosting academic performance under the Hong Kong educational system. After over 50 years of practice and adjustment, ECA students adopting this method now enjoy more flexibility to learn according to their own capabilities.
As the founder of ECA Education, Jolly believes in being accountable for students’ academic performance as well as for facilitating their holistic development. In keeping with our founder’s spirit, ECA staff takes great care to understand each individual student and to teach them according to their personal abilities. Our objective is to design effective, customised private tuition programmes that can improve both the student’s learning ability and academic performance within a short period of time.
